If you're thinking about buying new appliances, think Energy Star. Appliances with the blue Energy Star label are certified as energy efficient. Not sure whether you want to upgrade? You can calculate appliance energy use on the Chelan County PUD website. Go to www.chelanpud.org, click on "Energy Conservation" and then "Appliance Energy Calculator."
