Cascade School District’s Elementary, Middle and High Schools Recognized for Student Achievement
The Office of Superintendent of Public Instruction (OSPI) and the State Board of Education created the Washington Achievement Award to celebrate our top-performing schools in the State of Washington and to recognize achievement in multiple categories. This highly selective award is based on your school’s performance according to the Washington Achievement Index, a comprehensive measurement of how schools in Washington are performing over time. The Washington Achievement Award is given to elementary, middle, high and comprehensive schools in seven different categories: overall excellence, language arts, math, science, extended graduation rate (high and comprehensive schools only), improvement and closing achievement gaps. Osborn Elementary (Peshastin-Dryden included as part of the Osborn grade band selection), Icicle River Middle School and Cascade High School have all been recognized for the “Overall Excellence” award. It is noteworthy that each of the Cas cade Schools have received overall excellence recognition and for multiple years. The following is a listing of award categories and the schools (districts) within our region that have been recognized.
More information and a complete listing can be found on the OSPI website.
