To Each His Own

I often think in terms of songs...mostly old ones, and often with wine. A favorite in terms of my belief is "To Each His Own." Or, to be more PC today, "To Each His/Her Own" or "To Each Their Own," except that "each" and "their" in that construction grates on my nerves. Anyway....

As I mentioned a few weeks ago, the west end of Front Street in Leavenworth is showing a decided growth spurt as wineries are opening in or relocating to this area. Other businesses, too, have opened or will be soon.

Rekindling Homefires

When Richard and Teresa D-Litzenberger, founders of Homefires Bakery, retired after 22 years, and Linda Flick became the new owner, fans of the delicious breads and pastries were delighted to know that they could continue to enjoy the bakery treats they loved.
